Below is a statement from the Director regarding the current COVID-19 situation.
After careful deliberation and the recent developments, Putnam County Parks and Recreation has decided it is in the best interest to close our community centers and outdoor sports facilities until at least March 31. Our Cookeville Community Center will remain open in it’s role as the Tornado Relief Distribution Center until further notice. Our staff are taking diligent measures in order to sanitize all commonly touched objects in order to protect all visitors of the Cookeville Community Center during this time. We will continue to monitor the current situation with the COVID-19, and will re-evaluate the situation at the end of the month. We feel this precautionary measure would help in the containment of the coronavirus. Please stay tuned to our Facebook and website on updates for re-opening.
